COLUMBIA, SC—Capstone has brokered the sale of Hunter’s Way: a 304-unit garden-style apartment community in Columbia, South Carolina, located just outside of Fort Jackson. The property falls within close proximity to Interstate 77, Class A retail, and dining in the Forest Drive corridor.

Capstone sold the 14.4-acre property located at 325 Percival Road on behalf of Rivercity Ventures and procured the buyer, GLP Investments. Ron Corrao, Alex McDermott, Austin Green, and Brian Ford represented the seller in the transaction.

GLP Investments plans to implement a multimillion-dollar capital upgrade to reposition Hunter’s Way within the flourishing Forest Acres neighborhood. The buyer also plans to rebrand the community, cure deferred maintenance, and enhance the overall resident experience.

Built in 1970, Hunter’s Way features one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments in 38 two-story buildings. It was occupied at approximately 92% at the time of closing. The community’s amenities package includes a swimming pool, playground, clubhouse, as well as laundry facilities in each building. Each apartment home features a fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans, walk-in closets, and a patio or balcony.
